Bobblehead Numero Uno: Nacho Libre!

It’s a misconception that the greatest thing about being a journalist is seeing your work in print, talking to interesting people and making a difference in your community. Most young writers get into this profession for the incredible amount of free bobbleheads.

With apologies to the Veronica Corningstone “Anchorman” bobblehead, the Bernie Mac “Mr. 3000″ bobblehead and especially the Redd Foxx “Sanford and Son” bobblehead, the “Nacho Libre” bobblehead that arrived on my editor David Wiegand’s desk last week may be the greatest in history.

Jack Black already looks sort of like a bobblehead, so the makers of this giveaway had a natural advantage. But the cape is a nice touch, and the artists accurately captured Black’s heavy metal face.
